Common Use For This Medicine
1- For the management of ESSENTIAL HYPERTENSION used alone or in combination with other agents. 2- For the maintenance treatment of CONGESTIVE HEART FAILURE as adjunctive therapy with diuretics and digitalis. 3- For the treatment of ACUTE MYOCARDIAL INFARCTION

How To Use This Medicine
Use this medicine exactly as directed on the label, unless instructed differently by your doctor * This medicine can be taken with or without food, REGARDLESS of meal times. If stomach upset occurs, take with food. * Use this medicine for the full prescribed treatment period. DO NOT skip doses or discontinue unless directed by your doctor.

What To Do If You Miss A Dose
Take when remembered unless time for next dose. No double doses.

How To Store This Medicine
Keep in original closed container in a dark, cool, and dry place away from children. Discard unneeded medicine.

Call Your Doctor Immediately If You Experience
Irregular heartbeat; Sore throat; Fever; Swelling of feet or lower legs; Difficulty breathing; Difficulty swallowing; Chest pain; Swelling usually of face or lips.

Other Side Effects
Dizziness; Headache; Cough; Low blood pressure; Unusual tiredness or weakness; Flu-like symptoms; Diarrhea; Nausea; Skin rash; Swelling of the extremities; Vomiting; Urinary tract infection; Loss of consciousness (fainting); Sweating; Inflammation of the sinuses; Dizziness when getting up; Dizziness upon standing; Nervousness; Feeling of general discomfort; Muscle cramps; Itching; Insomnia; Hot sensation and redness of face; Drowsiness; Indigestion; Dry mouth; Depression; Constipation; Confusion; Blurred vision; Abdominal discomfort or pain; Rapid heart rate; Decreased sexual desire; Decreased appetite; Vertigo; Burning pain, tingling, or numbness; Impotence; Muscle pain; Joint pain; Change in taste; Narrowing of airway passage.


If symptoms are mild but do not go away or are bothersome, check with your doctor. IF ANY OF THE ABOVE SIDE EFFECTS IS SEVERE, CALL YOUR DOCTOR IMMEDIATELY.

Precautions And Warnings
* This medicine is CONTRAINDICATED for use during pregnancy. CALL YOUR DOCTOR IMMEDIATELY IF PREGNANT or intend to become pregnant. * STOP TAKING MEDICINE & GET EMERGENCY HELP IMMEDIATELY IF A HYPERSENSITIVITY OR ANAPHYLACTIC REACTION occurs: (see symptoms below):- * shortness of breath, fast or irregular breathing, fever, joint pain, fast pulse, lightheadedness or fainting, swelling of face, hives, & itching. * This medicine may cause dizziness, lightheadedness or fainting. Avoid sudden changes in posture. BE CAREFUL and slowly sit up or stand up. * AVOID concurrent use of alcohol or other CNS depressants as it may intensify the drowsiness, dizziness, or lightheadedness effect of this medicine. * DO NOT USE POTASSIUM supplements or salt substitutes containing potassium without consulting your physician. * A persistent dry COUGH may occur and usually does not subside unless this medicine is stopped. If it becomes bothersome, consult your physician. * Because of INTERACTION with other drugs, report the use of any other prescription and nonprescription medicines to your doctor. * AVOID taking over-the-counter (non-prescription) drugs without Doctors permission. * This medicine may cause BLOOD PROBLEMS resulting in certain infections, slow healing, and gum bleeding. Be careful when toothbrushing and flossing. * It is important that your doctor monitor your BLOOD CELL COUNTS at regular intervals.
